Stan Lee's Los Angeles Comic Con

BB-8 and Mouse Droid appeared (along with WALL-E) at Stan Lee's Los Angeles Comic Con (formerly called Comikaze) at the Los Angeles Convention Center on Oct 27 and 28. The R2 Builders and BB-8 Builders brought a lot of other droids as well, including a whole bunch of Mouse Droids!

Calvary Christian School, Santa Ana

Mike gave a presentation about building his R2-D2 for a family night at Calvary Christian School in Santa Ana, where the robotics club kids asked lots of insightful questions. They lined up for photos with R2, and a few got autographs and photos with Mike.

Starlight Children's Foundation--Dream Halloween

Mike brought R2 to Starlight Children's Foundation's Dream Halloween event for children and families in Los Angeles.

CHOC Visit

Always an honor to help bring smiles to CHOC (Children's Hospital Orange County) patients and families. The kids got awesome Star Wars hospital gowns and lots of other goodies. The droids were interviewed in Seacrest Studios for the hospital's closed circuit TV channel, and visited patient rooms. Such an amazing place! ❤️🐻

Science and Star Wars show


Mike Senna and Michael McMaster appeared on this week's episode of the new Science and Star Wars show on StarWars.com. Michael McMaster built the R3-A3 droid, Gordon Tarpley painted it, and Mike Senna built and programmed Watson's interface and a special remote control transmitter. R3 interacts with show host Anthony Carboni.

R2LA 14

We hosted our 14th annual gathering of Droid Builders, with more than 145 people and 68 different droids in various stages of completion. StarWars.com came to film a feature for The Star Wars Show. Mouse droid races and demolition derby were held in the street. Thanks to Lucasfilm for showing their support of our community.
